"I like good songs.
Good songs can be found in dark places.
Good songs can be played on bad guitars.
Good songs can be written by bad people.
Good songs can get you through anything.
Good songs breathe and bleed.
Good songs keep me going.
I made Mud Records because I like good songs."
Tom House's songs and music have literally changed my life. I feel truly grateful to have had the opportunity to work with such an amazing artist. Tom's taught me that a good song is a good song is a good song and all it will ever be is a good song. To me, Tom is the greatest undiscovered talent in roots music today. If you consider yourself a songwriting aficionado and haven't heard of Tom House: DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GET SOME NOW!!!!!!!! You can thank me later.

BROTHERS THOUGH THE HILL - ADELAIDE (Mud Records #3)
From a basement jam space in the sleepy little town of Almonte Ontario comes a unique blend of roots rock and ten unforgettable songs. If you took the raw energy of The Drive-By Truckers and added the poetic songwriting of Elliot Smith you would have Brothers Through The Hill. Formed by four friends (Kyle Spinks, James Walters, Chris Metcalfe and Pat Crosby) the band honed its sound, playing the bar scene around the Ottawa valley for a few years while working up enough material for an album. They eventually caught the ear of singer-songwriter Brock Zeman who immediately invited them to his Big Muddy recording studio to start work on their debut record “Adelaide.” From beautifully written ballads like “Digging Graves” and “Witches and the Dead” to undeniable hits like “All Girls Go To Art School” and “February is for Giving Up” the album tells the tale of a young band coming into its own. Armed with a brilliant debut album, Brothers Through The Hill are ready to unleash their melodic, hard hitting songs to a club near you.

YA AIN'T CRAZY HENNY PENNY! THE 2ND RELEASE ON MUD RECORDS!
This record has been kicking around for a couple years. It started as a
Christmas gift for my family and over time it just kind of took on a life
of its own. The first 7 tracks were recorded in my little shack outside
of Carleton Place in the fall of 2008 and the rest were finished at my
place in Lanark (The Big Muddy Studio) in the summer of 2010. Some of
the songs however were written as many as 5 years ago and I'd either
forgotten about them or overlooked them every time I went into the studio
make a new record. Maybe in years to come I'll get around to laying down
all the others I've overlooked, but for now these will have to do. Hope
you like them.

MUD RECORDS' FIRST RELEASE "NIGHTS TAKE FOREVER" BY ROBERT LARISEY IS
AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE.
"I was 21 years old when I first met Robert. He had yet to write a song
and he scared the hell out of me. I'm 28 now and Bear has chiseled out a
great batch of tunes and he still scares the hell out of me. Whenever he
plays a new song for me I can't help but picture somebody kicking in a
rotten door....they're fresh, full of heart and as honest as you're ever
gonna hear. What you have here is real blood, real sweat and real tears!
Enjoy it! Not only is this Robert's debut album but it's also the first
release on my label Mud Records......more to come."
